Special Casks

As a supplier with long years of experience in the production of casks and containers for radwaste, Siempelkamp has developed and tested a multiplicity of special casks. The design and manufacture are customer-specific and are both carried out in-house on an individual case basis.

With the option of using radioactively contaminated material, we offer our customers an enormous cost advantage, combined with a saving on resources through recycling of leftover materials.

So far in our manufacturing centres, we have produced over 350 special casks of various kinds.

Range of types:

• 200 litre roll tyre barrel with various cast iron shielding inserts, e.g. for filter cartridges



• 200-/ 400-/ 1,200 litre thin-walled cast iron casks with wall thicknesses from 10 mm
