Project management and installation
Planning and engineering of a plant are followed by a production and installation phase. Siempelkamp constructs the plant components according to customer specifications and delivers them to the site. Siempelkamp plants are unique. Since every plant is tailored exactly to the customer’s requests, no plant is built like another.
In the forefront of a plant installation Siempelkamp provides the customer with detailed assembly schedules. These schedules include information about the materials, the tools, as well as the target dates and use of personnel. During the actual installation, Siempelkamp is therefore able to mainly concentrate on the supervision of the assembly teams provided by the customer.
The crucial point during each installation process is the project management by Siempelkamp. Project management means to lead, coordinate, manage, monitor, and control a project. To reach the goal of a successful project (i.e., achieving all defined project targets), the project management team has to primarily meet two objectives:
- Establish transparency among all participants
- Assure that all agreements between suppliers, customer, and Siempelkamp are binding
