MOSAIK^®-Casks

MOSAIK^® casks and cast-iron containers serve for the transportation of low up to high activity waste.The weight of the MOSAIK^® cask lies between 3 and 10 Mg. The maximum weight of the cubic counterpart, the cast-iron container, varies at around 20 Mg. The supply of the cast material, the machining and the assembly and final inspection of the completed casks is carried out by Siempelkamp on behalf of GNS (Gesellschaft für Nuklear-Service mbH, Essen, Germany) as marketing authorisation holder and owner of the trademark. At our manufacturing sites, over 4,600 MOSAIK® casks and cast-iron containers have been produced.
